This wooden statue of a black bear waits for you in front of the Golden Gate Canyon State Park Visitor Center. The bear could see the visitors passing by or a beautiful meadow. Black bears actually live here. Next to the statue you see a poster with explanations how to behave if you have a bear encounter.

Behind the Hudson Gardens Event Center you will find the Nixon`s Coffee House. Here you can have a perfect coffee rest next to the South Platte Bike Trail. Be as relaxed as the little bears in the tree under the watchful eyes of their mum. The statue of the little bears is called “Hanging Around” and the mother bear sculpture is named “Under a watchful eye”. Thanks to the Littleton Fine Art Committee for those beautiful pieces.
